My first complete pattern on WR

Post by Meka Adediran »

Yippee. Just wanted to show you my first complete work on WR. Im sure there are a lot of things i could have done different but i learnt lots along the way. I had to set aside some of my Adobe Illustration Knowledge to be able to move ahead. but i must say its operations CAD a lot easier and faster to use
I would have loved to be able to reposition my pattern pieces by picking them up instead of using the arrow buttons only.

Great job! i love this software.

looking forward to doing some video tutorials on using it

Meka, that's FANTASTIC! :bounce:
Welcome to the forum, we're thrilled to see you post something already and then something so awesome! :tu:

If you want to move an entire patternpiece you can do the following:
• activate [SELECT]
• double click on your patternpiece in the drawing area. The whole patternpiece should now have a visible aura.
• activate [MOVE]
• move it to where you want it to be.

You do not need to use the cursor keys, but they are great for finer adjustments, if you need them. Also, when holding Shift and using cursor keys, it will move finer.

We are finishing up the first round of basic tutorials right now and hopefully get to post them in the next few days!

Again, welcome and thanks for your most wonderful post!

Wow, you are fast!!! :hyper:
That's absolutely wonderful! Hey, if you ever wanted to share a photo of what you've created, we'd love to see that, too, if you enjoy the idea. But no pressure, of course!

If all goes well, the next update will also have editing of multiple bezier curve handles at once, which will make things even easier with curved darts and other slices.

Well, we're certainly a fan of you already! :tu:

Wow! That's amazing Meka!

I too am having fun exploring in between my crazy life. Though I am planning to make up my first pattern this weekend, done in 1/4 scale for a course project. Yay for White Rabbit CAD! :bounce:
